Generally speaking, the four-time Pro Bowler fell short of the expectations raised by his $150 million, four-year contract. His troubles began early in the season, especially as he and the team’s skill-position group coped with injuries and running back Alvin Kamara’s season-opening suspension. Despite finishing ninth in scoring, New Orleans’ passing yards per game and overall offense rankings at the end of the season were just 13th and 15th, respectively.
