Novak Djokovic insisted he was not planning to retire despite enduring a year without winning a major title for the first time since 2017. Should the Serbian claim a 25th Grand Slam title he would move past Margaret Court and become the player with the most major singles tennis titles. Despite his dithering form, Djokovic, 37, insisted he had no imminent plans to retire and was still motivated to win more titles.

The Serbian has won 99 career titles and will be keen to claim a 100th, while he will also be looking to secure a 25th Grand Slam title to move past Margaret Court and become the player with the most major singles tennis titles.
Speaking to Argentine publication La Nacion, Djokovic said: “Deep down, I still feel like I have a few more Grand Slams to win. That’s what drives me to compete, to feel like I can still do it, and to play the Davis Cup for Serbia. I love playing for Serbia.
“Tennis is still my biggest platform for sharing the messages that I care about, whether it’s related to tennis, society or business. I still feel that I enjoy the process and it brings me all these benefits, so why not?
