Wolves are monitoring the situation of Sheffield United centre-back Anel Ahmedhodzic, sources have told Football Insider. The 25-year-old is high on the target list at Molineux as Gary O’Neil looks to add to his squad in the final days of the summer window – which shuts on 30 August.
Wolves are reportedly prepared to challenge Sheffield United’s resolve by making a bid for Ahmedhodzic. The defender is seen by club officials as a logical successor to former captain Max Kilman, who joined West Ham at the beginning of the summer transfer season.
Ahmedhodzic has played 90 minutes in both of Sheffield United’s Championship fixtures this term, including the 2-2 draw against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday (17 August). He was a regular for the Blades in the 2023-24 campaign as they were relegated from the Premier League.
