Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are ready to beat Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and sign Lucas Beraldo.
That’s according to TuttoJuve, which reported how much Arsenal are willing to pay for the Brazilian defender.
What has been reported about Arsenal and Liverpool target Lucas Beraldo? Let’s have a look.
Arsenal ready to overtake Liverpool to sign Lucas Beraldo:

According to TuttoJuve, Arsenal, Liverpool and Juventus are interested in signing Lucas Beraldo from Sao Paulo in the January transfer window.
According to the Italian newspaper, Leicester City, who are playing in the Championship this season after being relegated from the Premier League, are also interested in the central defender.
Arsenal are ready to offer €30 million (£25.85 million) for the 20-year-old central defender, beating Liverpool and Leicester to his signature.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is personally keen on the Brazilian youngster, who is described as “exceptional”, according to the report.
Arsenal should be looking for a more experienced defender like Lucas Beraldo
I don’t think Arsenal need to sign Lucas Beraldo in the January transfer window, especially not for £26 million.
I think that is too much for a 20-year-old playing in Brazil.
I think Arsenal could get a better, more mature and more developed central defender if they were prepared to pay a bit more.
Of course, Beraldo is a very good and promising young talent. Liverpool’s and Juventus’ interest in him proves that. He has also been compared to Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven.
But Arsenal is now at a stage where it does not need to sign young players and develop them. They should bring in players in their early to mid-twenties who will improve the first team and have an immediate impact.
