The clubs will be given a fortnight to reply to these accusations, after which two independent commissions will be promptly established. And after these independent commissioners have completed their hearings, which typically span one to five days, in a span of twelve weeks, we will receive the decision one week later.
Any possible charge would be disastrous if it led to Forest’s relegation, but it seems like they are well-prepared for that worst-case situation given their January performance. That’s according to Jones, who told GiveMeSport that because of their off-field fines, they have virtually little chance of making major summer purchases.
The sale of Brennan Johnson will be critical to the FFP charge at Forest

In fact, Jones thinks that Brennan Johnson’s transfer to Tottenham and its timing will determine Forest’s fate in the FFP race.
“We know exactly where Nottingham Forest are at; a current charge pending for a PSR breach that they informed the Premier League about, and they are now waiting for their case to be heard,” Jones wrote.
“A lot will depend on when Brennan Johnson is sold as a result of that decision, and losing points would definitely put them in the relegation struggle. The league’s standing would then determine any summer spending, although in the worst-case scenario of relegation, expect a player fire sale to reduce payroll.”
Johnson paid almost £45 million to join Spurs in the summer of last year, and because he came via the Forest system, his transaction was only for profit.
