Broja – who Mauricio Pochettino believes has ‘amazing’ potential’ – has made just 17 appearances so far this season, for a total of just 616 minutes which equates to just 36 minutes per match.
Journalist Ben Jacobs reported earlier today that Wolves would prefer a loan move for Broja if they were going to go for him. Chelsea would ultimately want £35 million to sell, but are said to be ‘willing to listen to offers’.
Broja loan with option-to-buy could be good for Wolves
Broja is a name worth keeping an eye on in these final days of the winter window, especially now Romano has suggested the player is a possibility for Wolves.
There must be some interest, but it’s whether or not an agreement can actually be reached over the £40,000-a-week star.
Wolves’ financial situation is well documented and realistically, the club can only sign Broja on loan in this window. It’s not like he can be signed on the cheap because his contract is about to expire like Che Adams.
Perhaps Chelsea would ultimately agree to a loan, but they would surely want, at the very least, an option-to-buy clause inserted
Wolves should certainly see about trying to negotiate an option-to-buy as this does not have to be triggered.
