Ian Holloway, the former manager of Blackpool, has offered his guidance on how to get promoted out of the Championship as Leicester City strive to secure a spot in the Premier League.

By winning the 2010 Championship Play Off final, Holloway notably guided Blackpool into the Premier League for the first time in the team’s existence. After surprising everyone by finishing sixth in the league, the Tangerines advanced to the Premier League by defeating Cardiff City 3-2 at Wembley Stadium.

Even though their time in the top division was brief, Ian Holloway has a wealth of knowledge on what it takes to win the Championship and has shared some of his insights with Leicester on how to go for the remainder of the season.

While it appears that Ipswich and Leicester City will easily win the two automatic promotion slots this season, Ian Holloway has issued a warning about maintaining their consistency and striking the appropriate balance to maintain their outstanding levels of play. ‘It’s all about that little bit extra energy’.

Though he believes Leicester City will win the Championship,he tasked more energy from them.

In addition, he described the league championship as “too close to call” and said that the winning team will require “that little bit extra”.

Holloway stated in an interview with Genting Casino: “Every squad in the Championship has players of such high caliber. It all comes down to that additional amount of talent your squad possesses. That tiny bit of cohesion, that tiny bit of conflict, the harmony of ability and will. It’s practically too close to say.
