The No. 2 Duke Blue Devils are hitting their stride as they near the end of their regular season, with the ACC and NCAA Tournaments just ahead.
Monday night marks their final home game of the season at the historic Cameron Indoor Stadium, where they will face Wake Forest. This could also be the last home game for freshman star Cooper Flagg, a likely top pick in this year’s NBA Draft.
Though Flagg has hinted at returning, it seems increasingly unlikely. The game also coincides with Senior Night for several key players, including Tyrese Proctor, Sion James, Mason Gillis, Stanley Borden, Maliq Brown, and Cameron Sheffield.
On Monday morning, Duke shared a brief four-word message ahead of their final home game of the season, which will be played in front of their devoted fans in Durham, North Carolina: “Last ride in Cameron!” While the attention will mainly be on the seniors, Cooper Flagg’s remarkable season has not gone overlooked. The Blue Devils, with a 26-3 record, have suffered just one loss in over two months.
Flagg is the Blue Devils’ leader in points (19.3), rebounds (7.6), assists (4.1), steals (1.5), and blocks (1.1), and he also leads in minutes played and field goal percentage. The Maine native is a top contender for National Player of the Year.
Duke is in strong position to secure one of the four No. 1 seeds in the upcoming March Madness, currently holding a 17-1 record in ACC play. They lead second-place Clemson, which is 16-2, with just two regular-season games left.
