ANGELES – If the Los Angeles Lakers can play together and take the load off of their two stars, then it’s not just about LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
In an exciting National Basketball Association (NBA) home game against the Toronto Raptors on January 9, Davis scored a career-high 41 points to help the Lakers win 132-131.
A dominant fourth-quarter performance by Davis helped Los Angeles win a riveting match that witnessed no fewer than 23 lead changes.
In a thrilling last quarter, the eight-time All-Star scored a scorching 20 points, including a flawless 11-of-11 free throw shooting, to lead the Lakers over a six-point deficit and win their second straight game.
The victory put the team’s season record at 19-19, good for 10th place in the Western Conference.”After the game, we’ll take it, we can do better, but obviously that’s a big-time win for us,” a relieved Davis remarked.
