The Memphis Grizzlies ended their 2024-2025 NBA campaign with a 48-34 record, earning the eighth spot in the Western Conference standings. Unfortunately, their postseason was short-lived, as they were swept by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round.

The team started strong, posting a 13-7 record through their first 20 games and continuing to perform well in the following stretch. Early in the season, they were ranked among the top three in the conference.

However, their momentum faltered in the latter half of the season. On March 28, less than a month before the playoffs began, the Grizzlies made a major move by announcing the departure of head coach Taylor Jenkins.

The Memphis Grizzlies have officially appointed Tuomas as their new head coach. Team President and General Manager Zachary Z. Kleiman shared his enthusiasm about the hiring.

“I’m fully confident in Tuomas leading the Grizzlies as head coach,” said Kleiman. “At every level, his teams have shown discipline, toughness, and strong unity on both ends of the court, often outperforming expectations. We’re eager to see him bring that same energy and success to Memphis.”
