Smashing good time ahead at pickleball tournament for mental health in Penticton - The Abbotsford News

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) – Ever since 9/11 we’ve all become especially sensitive to the mental health needs of our first responders. That’s why the local organization “With You” provides counseling, stress management, and peer support groups to our police, firefighters, EMTs, and other first responders. We spoke with Allen Cormier and Joshua Tannehill this morning about an upcoming fundraiser for the organization.

The “Rally for Resilience” pickleball tournament will be on March 22, at Lake Charles’ Game2Life.

The event will be an exciting day of competition and community spirit to raise crucial funds for the non-profit organization. The event will begin at 8 a.m. with about 250 to 300 participants and spectators expected. Team registration is $150 and the group is hoping to raise about $25,000.

Game2Life is located at 3311 Broad Street in Lake Charles.
