Blinksportsnews247Zac Foster, the No. 69 overall recruit in the 2025 class, has committed to Brad Brownell and the Clemson Tigers, he tells 247Sports. The 6-foot-3 combo guard out of Atlanta (Ga.) Woodward Academy announced his decision to Clemson over Virginia Tech live on 247Sports.
“Really they were so similar in play-styles and fit but the main thing was the coach,” he said of why he chose Clemson. “He [Brad Brownell] seemed very invested in me. He did my whole visit and he just told me exactly step-by-step how he would work with me and his plan for me once I got there.” Foster provides Clemson with a talented two-way guard with high upside as he continues to expand his skillset and piece his game together while filling out his frame and he’s committed to the process of his development.
“He was saying in my first year that he would like me to get stronger and then get some burn,” Foster said of Brownell’s pitch. “Really my destiny is up to me and how I do that summer. That would define how my first year will look and then in my second year I should be getting a lot of burn.” Foster took an official visit to campus this past weekend and his time there sold him that it was home for him.
“It just had a home feel, it’s close to home,” he said. “I love the atmosphere of the campus. The team was cool and they honestly made the visit really cool, too.” Foster is a big pickup for Clemson bringing in a player who can develop into a major impact player in time. “Just a winner, a hard worker, I am ready to compete,” he said of what he is bringing to the program. “I just compete, that’s it.
