With what has been mostly an inactive summer for them winding down, the Los Angeles Lakers are starting to make some minor roster moves in advance of the start of training camp in four weeks.
On Tuesday, they signed Jordan Goodwin, a guard who has spent three seasons in the NBA, to a training camp deal.
Goodwin has spent time with the Washington Wizards, Phoenix Suns and Memphis Grizzlies after playing his college ball at Saint Louis University.
He went undrafted in 2021. The Lakers also brought in Vincent Valerio-Bodon, a 6-foot-9 wing, on Wednesday by signing him to an Exhibit 10 contract.
Valerio-Bodon is originally from Hungary and spent a few years playing basketball overseas in the NBIA, a pro basketball league in Hungary.
After playing one game with the Boston Celtics’ summer league team last year, he joined the Lakers just prior to training camp.
Although they ended up releasing him, he played for the South Bay Lakers last season and averaged 5.1 points and 2.8 rebounds in 16.5 minutes a game while hitting 39.1% of his 3-point attempts.
He then appeared in this year’s summer league for the Lakers and had 4.5 points and 4.0 rebounds a game across both the California Classic and the main Las Vegas summer league.
