Patrick Beverley is a competitor who has always been tough and unforgiving. It’s likely that you have an opinion on him, either favorable or unfavorable, if you support any NBA team.
And that view is almost certainly going to be favorable if you are a LA Clippers fan. Pat Bev, who played with the Clippers from 2017 to 2021, was a member of some of the greatest teams in the franchise’s history and had a reputation as a fierce one-on-one defender. Beverley has always fallen into the “love him when he’s on your team, hate him when you’re playing against him” camp.
The former guard for the Clippers has taken a moment to reflect on many of his positive NBA memories before moving on to Israel to participate in the next phase of his career. This week, when he joined Mike Miller and Udonis Haslem on The OGs Podcast, was one of his most recent occasions of doing so.
Udonis Haslem, one of the primary hosts, had a lot of questions regarding Pat Bev’s career. One such query concerned the identity of the hardest worker Beverley has encountered during his professional life. The response was really evident. “Kawhi,” said Pat. “Hardest working m—–f—– I ever seen in my life.”
Kawhi is the hardest worker Pat Bev has ever encountered. It’s important to keep in mind that Pat Bev has collaborated with some incredibly gifted musicians in the past. LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, James Harden, Anthony Edwards, and more players are among his career colleagues. Thus, this is by no means a minor declaration from the former Clipper. Beverley made the decision to elaborate on his definition of “hard-working.” “Therefore, LeBron exemplifies hard work in the weight room.” Kawhi is the one on the court. Kawhi, together, weight room and court. I have never seen somebody like him.”
Beverley’s remark gave Udonis Haslem a chance to refute people who argue Kawhi is constantly harmed because he doesn’t work hard, and Pat concurred. He hurt because of that, Beverley said. “That’s what people don’t understand.” Pat even remembered an instance in which he advised Kawhi to ease off on his training, to which Leonard angrily replied that he wouldn’t.
For Clippers supporters, this serves as a helpful reminder of just which athlete represents their team. Although he receives unfair criticism frequently, he puts in more effort than anyone else behind the scenes. We have to believe that Kawhi will eventually be rewarded for never having cheated the process.
