Personal terms completed: £90k-p/w Wolves star prepared to leave Molineux following Neto’s Link

It has surfaced that Wolverhampton Wanderers may lose one more player before the transfer window closes in eleven days, as one star agreed to terms on a move away.

Premier League debut for Wolves is a defeat. On the first day of the 2024–2025 Premier League season, Gary O’Neil’s team was handed a difficult assignment and lost 2-0 to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. Despite Wolves having opportunities to tie the score against Mikel Arteta’s team, goals from Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka made sure that the Gunners took home all three points.

But having lost almost £100m of talent this summer with the sales of Max Kilman (£40m) to West Ham and Pedro Neto to Chelsea (£54m), O’Neil will be desperate for reinforcements in the final days of the transfer window, having failed to replace either as of yet.

“No real update on names linked”, he explained when asked about transfers after the loss. “It’s a ruthless league and we have an opportunity to be really clever and get some stuff done, the next 2 weeks is big for us…you take £100m last summer, you take £100m this summer, you can’t stand still,” the Old Gold boss added.

According to reports, they may lose another attacker, so their situation may become worse before it gets better. “Excellent” forward consents to leave on personal conditions. That coincides with rumors circulating in Turkey that Besiktas is “close” to acquiring Pablo Sarabia, a forward for Wolves, this summer. The Spaniard, who entered the game as a substitute against Arsenal, is in risk of leaving Molineux for free in the next 12 months as he approaches the last year of his £90,000-per-week contract.

Wolves will be eager to prevent that outcome, which may lead them to consider selling in the final hours of the transfer window. According to the report, Sarabia and the Turkish powerhouses have already reached personal terms; however, they have not yet reached an agreement with Wolves about any kind of transfer fee for the Spaniard.

The 32-year-old, who has received a lot of acclaim from O’Neil in the past, made 36 appearances in all competitions during the 2023–24 season, scoring four goals.
