Despite losing Jerry Jeudy, the Denver Broncos wide receiver corps is surprisingly good; nevertheless, the group’s health going into the regular season will always be an issue.

Tim Patrick is a player whom the fans adore, but in the last two seasons, he has failed to make it to Week 1. This may be his last opportunity, at thirty, to recapture the momentum from his earlier career years.

Player Profile Height: 6’4” | Weight: 212 pounds Age: 30 years old | Experience: 7th Year Wide receiver Tim Patrick’s 2024 outlook Patrick has not played a snap in any regular or preseason game since the 2021 season. That changes last Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. While he only had one catch for 14 yards, it was a huge step forward for the oft-injured receiver. “It felt good; it honestly hasn’t felt that long,” Patrick said after the team’s first preseason game. “… I feel like I go against the best every day, so out there, it just felt like it was another day in the office.” The reason why he is a fan favorite is because he was an outstanding and reliable catch target in 2020 and 2021. He had nearly identical statistical years both seasons with 104 receptions and 1,476 yards and 11 total touchdowns. Getting him back to form in 2024 would be a huge get for Denver’s offense.

Final Thoughts One player I think is on track to supplant Patrick is rookie Devaughn Vele who has had a very impressive training camp as a rookie. However, rookie wide receivers rarely come out day one and start, so that should give Tim Patrick one final season here in Denver and offer an opportunity to have a good free agency next March.

If he can produce another 50 catch, 700 yards season with five touchdowns, then Denver is going to have a pretty good season based on the surrounding talent elsewhere on that offense. Hopefully that is exactly what we see this year.
