The Rangers’ pursuit of acquiring Abdallah Sima has taken a new turn as Brighton intensifies their summertime recruitment drive. The Senegalese attacker, who made an impression during a season-long loan at Ibrox last year, is reportedly still on the Gers’ radar.
Sima, 23, has been making noise about returning to Rangers, and Philippe Clement has been transparent about his desire to get Sima back to Glasgow. Sima’s latest indication that he is seeking to return to Govan came in response to Rangers’ first-leg tie with Dynamo Kiev. Rangers supporters will now observe that, as the summer transfer window gets tighter, Brighton’s new manager Fabian Hurzeler is stepping up the Premier League team’s already very busy incoming transfer business.

There is widespread reporting that Brighton have activated the £40m release clause in the contract of highly-rated Leeds United attacker Georginio Rutter.The Dutch forward has now reportedly accepted Brighton’s proposal and is closing in on a move to the club.
