The Broncos have strengthened their group of defensive backs. On Monday, Denver announced that it had claimed defensive back Kaleb Hayes from the Giants off of waivers. In response, the Broncos waived Alec Mock, a rookie inside linebacker.

In 2023, Hayes became a free agent without being drafted and participated in offseason competition with the Jaguars. After that, he played with the Giants practice squad in 2023. The 6-foot, 195-pound player played his final two seasons of college ball at BYU, where he started 20 games and had 19 pass breakups. Before coming to BYU, he played at Oregon State.
