When Pittsburgh Steelers offensive tackle Broderick Jones spoke with the media on Tuesday, he made it clear that the starting position is still up for grabs. When asked about the differences between his new quarterbacks, Jones replied that it was obvious that Russell Wilson and Justin Fields would face off in a fight. Jones concluded by wishing them both the best, bringing up the comment made by former quarterback Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints that Fields may be used in a manner akin to that of Taysom Hill.

We are really hoping that what Jones and Fields said earlier today is true and that this is a fair position battle with the best quarterback in the starting lineup on Week One. When head coach Mike Tomlin discussed the quarterback situation earlier in the offseason, he gave the impression that Wilson was the front-runner for the starting job.
