With a brilliant play, Anthony Edwards prevented the Wolves from losing 4-0, and the series now returns to Minnesota for Game 5 on Thursday. But Doncic doesn’t seem to be phased. Dallas Mavericks News: A Defiant Message from Luka Doncic Doncic, who finished Tuesday’s 105-100 loss with 28 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists, was questioned about his mentality for Game 5 in Minnesota during his post-game interview. Luka replied in a defiant manner:
We need to win four games. Which frame of mind? We only need to win one more game,” he declared.
After putting everything into perspective, the Mavs’ mission does appear to be fairly simple. Doncic stated that Dallas only needs to win one game at this point. It’s undeniable that they are still in control of this series and that they should win the Western Conference Championship. Now that they need to win one more game away from home, the Mavs’ route to the NBA Finals is a little more difficult. But as Luka pointed out, this doesn’t alter the team’s mindset before what they will view as a game that will decide their fate on Thursday night.
