One of the best junior college prospects in the country has committed to Mississippi State women’s basketball. Destiney McPhaul revealed on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Monday that she will be visiting MSU.She played for Northwest Florida State College for the previous two seasons.She scored the most points per game (14.4) for the Raiders last season. With Purcell present, her performance propelled the team to a national championship game appearance, where she scored thirty points. She was named the No. 2 guard in the country by JUCO World Exposure and was recognised as a first-team All-American by the NJCAA.
In her rookie season, she averaged 12 points per game.
McPhaul went to West Catholic Preparatory High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he was raised. Joining her at Mississippi State is guard Jerkaila Jordan, who is returning off an All-SEC season.
This offseason, transfer guards Chandler Prater of Oklahoma State and Eniya Russell of Kentucky committed to the Bulldogs.
