Nuggets Star ask to leave for Lack of game…

Due to his swelling right knee and damaged left ankle, Jamal Murray was unable to play in Friday night’s Denver Nuggets game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Denver, who lost 111-98 to the Timberwolves, who now share first place in the Western Conference, and the Nuggets, the reigning NBA champions, who are now in third place behind Oklahoma City, could have used him.

Denver coach Michael Malone stated before to the game that although Murray was making progress, “he’s just not ready to go out there and compete at the level that we need him to.”

Malone stated he wasn’t concerned that his star point guard would be gone for a long time, but he did imply that Murray would also miss the Nuggets’ Sunday matinee against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
