On February 21, William Inge was appointed coach of Tennessee’s linebackers.
After working as Washington’s linebackers coach and co-defensive coordinator from 2022–2023—he moved to Tennessee.
Inge had his first media conference at Tennessee on Monday. He talked on the reasons behind his interest in the Vols.
“First of all, I am aware of this location’s heritage, customs, and branding with the Power T and everything it stands for,” Inge remarked. “I like coach (Josh) Heupel, but I also like the recruiting that you can do here. Having the ability to view his past actions and record, as well as our conversation after that.
I believe that I was aware of my ability to significantly influence the group in my role, benefiting the defensive staff, the staff as a whole, and our football club, and it was something that I found significant.
