According to Adam Schefter, the quarterback, who has been prominently linked to the Pittsburgh Steelers, is also in talks with the New York Giants after stopping in New Jersey for a “exploratory” visit.
“Before traveling to Pittsburgh today, Russell Wilson stopped in New Jersey for what one source described as ‘an exploratory meeting’ with the Giants, per league sources,” Schefter of ESPN reported. “Wilson is in Pittsburgh today to meet with the Steelers, per sources.”
Since Daniel Jones, 27, is currently bound by the Giants to a four-year, 160 million dollar contract, this meeting will be especially interesting because no one anticipated that the team would consider parting ways with him just yet.
Regarding the quarterback position, the Las Vegas Raiders are also rumored to be in the running following a poor 2023 campaign. However, nothing is set in stone, so we’ll have to wait and see where Wilson takes his skills in 2024–25.
