Cincinnati is set to add a veteran-safety

On Friday, the Eagles cut loose veteran safety Kevin Byard.

Is the 30-year-old a suitable match for Cincinnati? The safety market is where the Bengals are focused.

For the Titans and Eagles in the previous season, Byard totaled 122 tackles and one interception. He is a two-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro.

In an attempt to bring Byard into a room with Jordan Battle, Tycen Anderson, and Dax Hill, the Bengals may make a run at him.

Although Nick Scott is also a member of the team, it’s possible that the Bengals will let him go, particularly if they sign a veteran.

In each of the previous six seasons, Byard has played 1,000 snaps or more.
