The Golden State Warriors Announce a Serious Injury

Monday that Paul will be available to play against the Washington Wizards on Tuesday night.

This is a significant announcement because, as Steve Kerr previously told the media, the Warriors will now need to reintegrate a crucial player into their rotation.

“Chris [Paul], when he comes back, will play all of the non-Steph [Curry] minutes,” Kerr stated. “He and Steph will both be out there. When Chris is out there, we can take some of the wear and strain off Steph and put him off the ball because he doesn’t have to bring it up.

The Warriors believe they have a solid rhythm with their starting lineup and rotation despite their defeat to the Denver Nuggets, but that will need to be adjusted whenever Paul returns. Paul is anticipated to come off the bench next to Klay Thompson, which should provide that second group a strong attacking duo.

Although Paul won’t be in the starting lineup, Kerr has repeatedly stated that he has played in the majority of Golden State’s top lineups, which definitely leaves open the prospect of him closing games.
