This year, during Super Bowl week, Matt Harmon spoke with Ja’Marr Chase, an All-Pro player who shared his preferred running route on the field.

Chase has a particular place in his heart for the out route.
Chase said, “I probably say the out route for real.” “Because if I get press (coverage), it just gives me the chance to run a go ball.” Thus, it’s a two-way street.”
Chase has proven to be an ingenious and wise route runner across a wide range of alignments. He now enjoys greater freedom in the offense.
“I feel like you get more freedom the more plays you make,” Chase stated. “And because they still don’t trust me in the slot, the more the Bengals coaches trust you. I haven’t played it as much because of this.
After playing 18.4% of his snaps in the slot as a rookie, Chase has surpassed a 23.4% slot snap percentage in consecutive seasons, so he will undoubtedly continue honing those talents this offseason.
