Recent events at Tottenham Hotspur suggest that the team is keen to sign a winger in the summer transfer window, with Pedro Neto of Wolves emerging as a key target.

Journalist Ben Jacobs, though, speculates that Spurs would be reluctant to pay Wolves’ high asking price for the Portugal international.

Pedro Neto is wanted by Wolves for approximately £80 million, according to David Ornstein during a Q&A session for The Athletic.

According to Ben Jacobs, the hierarchy at Tottenham believes this price is £10–15 million more than what they are willing to provide.

Thus, I believe that Tottenham’s attendance is likely to pique curiosity once again. But I also believe that Wolves’ current asking price for Neto is significantly lower than what bidders are willing to pay, by £10 million to £15 million.

This indicates that Spurs are prepared to pay Pedro Neto as much as £65–70 million.

With two goals and nine assists in 17 top-flight games for England this season, Neto ranks fourth in the division for assists. This is a great season for Neto.

Tottenham will have fierce competition for Neto’s signature because Ange Postecoglou is eager to add a wide forward to the team for the upcoming campaign. It is also rumored that Liverpool and Arsenal are interested.

Spurs, though, will likely face fierce competition to sign him, as rumors have claimed that Arsenal and Liverpool are also interested parties.
