Some fans took offense at the Golden State Warriors star’s unwavering backing of Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges on social media.

A late-game altercation involving Bridges occurred during the Warriors’ 97-84 victory over the Hornets. Bridges was fined for the incident, as was fellow Hornet Grant Williams.

After the game, Green chastised Williams, but the four-time All-Star cleared Bridges of any wrongdoing. Green continued, saying that in his opinion, Bridges “can do no wrong.”

“You know, I like Miles a lot.” My younger brother is that. Therefore, I won’t sit here and criticize Miles. “Miles is untouchable for me,” declared Green in his press conference following the game.

Because of multiple alleged violent events against the mother of his two children, Bridges is currently serving a three-year probationary period.

Green’s decision to refrain from chastising Bridges for the on-court incident is perfectly acceptable. However, some internet fans think the Warriors star may have overdone it with his compliments to Bridges.

Green has already showed Bridges a great deal of loyalty. Green created uproar by spending time with Bridges even as the Hornets player’s crisis was at its height.
