The Cincinnati Bengals will have an abundance of cash to spend when NFL free agency rolls around. Although the early forecasts had the Bengals with about $59 million in cap space, we already knew that they were expected to have the sixth-most cap room in the NFL this offseason. The NFL recently revealed the salary cap space for 2024, and it’s a huge increase at a whopping $255 million per club, so that number is undoubtedly going up. It’s surprising to see it soar above the first estimates, which were roughly $242 million.
The NFL declared that each team will have a $255.4 million salary cap in 2024. In addition, each club would receive a payment of $74 million for player benefits, which will include compensation for retiring players and performance-based pay. A club’s total player costs in 2024 will be $329.4 million, or over $10.5 billion for the league.

With even more cap space available, the Bengals will be able to sign Tee Higgins to a long-term contract or even secure a contract extension.
