The Crystal Palace team has confirmed Roy Hodgson’s replacement, less than an hour after he announced his departure. Oliver Glasner, 49, an Austrian manager, was named the new Eagles manager. He will remain at Selhurst Park through the end of the 2025–2026 season.
In recent weeks, there have been rumors that Hodgson was fired. Palace is currently 16th in the league after two straight losses, and they are only five points above the relegation zone. But after it was reported that 76-year-old Hodgson had been discharged from the hospital on Thursday, the former Lions manager said he would be leaving his position. Tonight, Palace plays 18th-place Everton.
