MAGNIFICENT TRADE: Browns ‘compares’ multiple trade for Bills receiver and an Eagles defensive tackle.

The Browns are planning to make roster changes. Early in the offseason, Buffalo wide receiver Gabe Davis and Philadelphia defensive lineman Fletcher Cox are two names who have been connected to the Browns.

It’s never too late to add another seasoned defensive lineman to the depth chart; the wide receiver room will require one more addition.

One of Buffalo’s 21 upcoming free agents this offseason is Davis. Despite having 45 catches for 756 yards (16.6 per reception) and seven touchdowns at the end of the 2023 regular season, he was sidelined for Buffalo’s postseason run due to a sprained PCL sustained against Miami in the regular season finale.

33 tackles, five sacks, two passes defended, and one forced fumble were all records for Cox at the end of the season. He re-signed with the Eagles in the offseason of last year, but he may choose to play his 13th season elsewhere.

Reuniting with Jim Schwartz, his defensive coordinator during Philadelphia’s successful run to the Super Bowl in previous years, is also not out of the question.
