Following the Lakers’ most recent victory at Madison Square Garden, he too donned a Knicks towel.
James’ mounting annoyance with the Lakers has now been further explained by NBA insider Brian Windhorst, who stated that “we’re about a ‘8’ on the ‘LeBron Passive Aggressive Trade Deadline’ time scale.”
He stated on Sunday’s SportsCenter that “the Lakers have not responded to LeBron’s manoeuvres, including wearing the Knicks towel last night, from what I am told by sources, and they have kind of held firm in their talks.”
“The Lakers’ problem is that they just want to hang onto the few draft picks they still have.”
The Lakers have made an effort to make trades before the trade deadline, despite having few assets.
According to numerous sources, the team’s most well-known effort to shuffle their lineup was an offer to send D’Angelo Russell to Atlanta in exchange for Dejounte Murray.
Though the Lakers are eager to trade Russell, the Hawks are rumoured to prefer Austin Reaves, so nothing concrete has emerged as of yet.
The majority of trade activity, meanwhile, usually occurs very near to the deadline, which is Thursday, February 8 at 3 p.m. ET.
There is still time for the Lakers to take action, but it remains to be seen if it will be sufficient to placate LeBron.

James continued speaking with reporters, opening his sentences with “I mean…” until a LA staff member cut him off.

LeBron uploaded a mysterious message to his X page a few hours later.
The message might indicate that LeBron’s food delivery guy is taking too long, that James’ time with the Lakers is running out, or that Darvin Ham’s time with the team is running out. Who knows?
But one thing is certain—the Lakers must start winning, and improved communication is the first step towards that.
