Blinksportsnews247The Saints have apparently identified their next offensive coordinator, though they can’t confirm it until after Super Bowl LVIII.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that San Francisco passing game coordinator Klint Kubiak is being considered by New Orleans for the position.
The Saints will have to wait to make an announcement because Kubiak will be covering the game in Las Vegas next week.
After serving as the quarterbacks coach and coordinator of the Broncos passing game for a year, Kubiak, 36, was hired by the 49ers. Prior to serving as offensive coordinator in 2021, he was the Vikings’ quarterbacks coach from 2019 to 2020 during the previous three seasons.
Clint, the son of former head coach Gary Kubiak of the Texans and Broncos, was an offensive assistant coach with Denver from 2016 to 2018.
Following their 2023 season in which they finished ninth in points scored and fourteenth in total yards, the Saints fired longtime offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael.
