Canada was fired in November, midway through his third season with the team.Tomlin stated that he is looking for a coordinator with expertise calling plays in the NFL and who gets along well with quarterbacks. Formerly selected by the Steelers in the eighth round of the draft, Van Pelt has been an NFL coach since 2006, mostly working with quarterbacks in a variety of roles. He worked as Buffalo’s offensive coordinator in 2009 and as Cleveland’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the previous four seasons.
Van Pelt was the offensive coordinator in 2023, when five different individuals started at quarterback. The Browns tied for 10th place in points and ended 16th in yards.
Byron Leftwich43 years oldResumé: Leftwich started for the Steelers as a backup quarterback in 2008 and again in 2010–12. In 2017, Leftwich was signed by former Steelers offensive coordinator Bruce Arians to coach the quarterbacks for the Arizona Cardinals, a move that helped him launch his coaching career. In 2018, Leftwich filled in as the offensive coordinator in interim, then in 2019, Arians rehired him in Tampa Bay.With Tom Brady joining the team, Leftwich was the offensive coordinator when the Bucs won the Super Bowl following the 2020 campaign. Bieniemy lost out on opportunities to go on because of the Chiefs’ unwavering deep run into the postseason and two championships. In 2023, he eventually departed Kansas City to take a position as offensive coordinator and associate head coach with the Washington Commanders.After splitting play-calling responsibilities with head coach Andy Reid in Kansas City, he was given exclusive control over the offense in Washington. The Commanders led the NFL in passing attempts and finished No. 24 in yards and points.
Darrell Beck

Resume: Bevell has been the quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator at Miami since 2022. He has collaborated with Tua Tagovailoa to build one of the greatest scoring attacks in the NFL. The Dolphins averaged almost 400 yards each game, which led the NFL, and they ranked second in terms of points scored (averaging 29.2).
Bevell has coordinated offensive campaigns at Minnesota, Seattle, Detroit, and Jacksonville in the past. In addition, he has mentored Trevor Lawrence, Matthew Stafford, Russell Wilson, and Brett Favre.
Klint Kubiak
Years old: 36
Resume: The son of former NFL head coach Gary Kubiak, Kubiak is the coordinator of the 49ers’ passing game.
In Minnesota and Denver, Klint Kubiak collaborated alongside his father. Following his father’s retirement in 2021, he was elevated to the position of offensive coordinator after two seasons as the Vikings quarterbacks coach.
The next season, Kubiak went back to Denver to work as the quarterbacks coach and coordinator of passing games. He joined the 49ers this season after taking over as playcaller in November of last year. In 2023, Kubiak and the 49ers finished No. 2 in total offense and No. 3 in points, working with former seventh-round pick Brock Purdy.
