A host of Clubs have been linked with a loan move for the young star this month.

With the announcement of Amad Diallo from Manchester United, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Leicester City, Newcastle, Everton and Southampton, host of others have all been dealt a potentially devastating blow.
This month, the youthful Red Devils player is credited with a loan move to all four Championship clubs. None have, however, been able to close a transaction thus far.
Now, an update has emerged from Manchester United which would suggest that is going to remain the case for the rest of the January transfer window.

In fact, Man Utd is now trying to hang onto Diallo this month, according to a report by Simon Jones in the Daily Mail.According to the source, Diallo has shown improvement in training since making a comeback from a long-term knee injury, and as a result, the club needs him to cover players like Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, and Antony.
Given the player’s potential and the fact that they would now be denied the opportunity to see him play, the Championship teams connected to Diallo must be devastated by the aforementioned news.
The Black Cats actually declined the opportunity to re-sign him in the summer after he played the 2022–2023 season on loan at Sunderland. Instead, they had intended to do so in January once he had healed from his injury.
That no longer seems likely to occur.Pursuing promotions While Southampton apparently made an effort to sign Diallo this month, no agreement has been reached as of yet.
Whilst Amad Diallo is unlikely to go from outsider to regular starter at Old Trafford, if the above report is true, it does not seem as though he will be heading to a Championship club any time soon, be it this month or perhaps even the summer.
Diallo has only recently returned to Manchester United training, and having reportedly impressed behind the scenes, more first-team appearances will surely come his way.
