Updates on Bruins injuries

The injury has been hurting the Bruins a lot lately, and yesterday (Jan. 11) we received some noteworthy information as a result. First, with effect from January 8, defenseman Brandon Carlo was placed on injured reserve (IR).
Due to an upper-body injury, the second-round pick from 2015 departed the team’s game against the Colorado Avalanche early and hasn’t appeared in action since.
He won’t be able to return to the Bruins lineup until their game against the Avalanche on January 18 due to this IR placement.

Jim Montgomery, the head coach of the Bruins, also gave updates on goalie Linus Ullmark and forward Matt Poitras. The two are considered day-to-day, he said.
Due to different ailments, both players had to leave the Bruins’ most recent game against the Arizona Coyotes early. Ullmark’s injury was especially worrisome because he needed his teammates’ help to get off the rink.
Fortunately, neither player sustained any major injuries, and they should return soon.
