According to Fabrizio Romano, Hannibal Mejbri is scheduled to make a decision regarding his transfer from Manchester United to Everton during the January transfer window. The Italian journalist stated in an interview with GiveMeSport on Monday, January 8, that the Tunisia international will deliberate carefully before deciding whether to join the Toffees or transfer to Sevilla, with the Red Devils requesting payment of his entire wage in the event of a loan swap.

He continued by saying that Erik ten Hag’s team is hoping for a buy-back clause incorporated into any trade, and the La Liga team is eager to have a buy option included in any possible transaction.
Now that Everton is vying for Hannibal, the onus is on the player, declared Romano. He must choose whether to honor his pledge and travel to the Spanish side, or whether he wants to visit Sevilla. Alternatively, he might choose to join Everton, remain in the Premier League, and work under a different coach and system.
Hannibal will therefore take his time making a decision, and it will be crucial to watch the kind of offer they make to Manchester United. United wants to pay the entire compensation, but it’s also critical to monitor the status of the buy options. United demanded a buy-back clause, while Sevilla wanted a buy option in the agreement.

Hannibal will take his time choosing between Everton and Sevilla because there is a deal to shape and it is not something that needs to happen right now.
